(Class Yard Operator)
This is a comfortable sit down job away from aisle crowds. You sit in a pit adjacent to the yard and under the upper level’s Glacier Canyon. It is reached through the layout’s only duck under. (See layout plan)
You use your own switcher to prepare cuts of cars for through trains, and whole consists for trains originating in Seattle. You will also drop cars into the class yard tracks that arrive on trains terminating in Seattle. Your boss is the Seattle “Tower”. He will hostle power from / to the roundhouse, and moves all trains within yard limits.
